KOBE AND WIFE RECONCILE AFTER MORE THAN A YEAR APART

For most people in Texas and elsewhere, ending a marriage is hard. We hope that this blog can serve as a great resource for people who have already filed or are considering filing for divorce. It is not a decision to be made lightly, and there are many factors, both financial and emotional, to consider when deciding to press ahead with a divorce. But it’s also important to remember that divorce may not be the right decision for everyone.

Some may decide that after a period apart that reconciling may be better than ending the marriage. There is no shame in that, and there is no right or wrong answer in many situations. This could be what professional basketball all-star Kobe Bryant was thinking when he announced recently that he and his estranged wife were reconciling.

Bryant and his wife of more than 10 years filed for divorce more than a year ago but had never moved forward with the process. During his long career, Bryant has amassed a great amount of wealth through some of the highest contracts in the game and lucrative endorsement deals. There likely would have been a lengthy property division process if the divorce commenced.

In separate statements posted to Bryant and his wife’s social media pages, the pair announced that they were happy to be back together and that they would cancel the divorce filing.

Many people feel like they are owed the juicy details surrounding celebrity marriages, but it’s important to remember that they are entitled to privacy too. Every marriage is unique, and every couple has their reasons for either getting divorced or staying together. Sound legal advice from a family law attorney could help in understanding the possible scenarios and what could happen.
